General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • Errors and Broken Site After Update

I recently attempted to update my Joomla CMS to the latest version, but I've encountered several issues that have left my site partially broken, and I'm seeking help to resolve them.

Background: My website has been running on Joomla for a few years, and I've always tried to keep it up to date with the latest versions for security and functionality reasons. This time, however, after initiating the update, things didn’t go as smoothly as expected.

Issue: The main problems I'm facing after attempting to update Joomla are:

Error Messages During Update: During the update process, I received several error messages indicating that certain files couldn’t be copied or were missing. Despite these errors, the update seemed to complete, but it left my site in a problematic state.
Broken Site Features: After the update, several features on my site are not working correctly. This includes modules not displaying, menu items leading to 404 errors, and some pages not loading at all.
Admin Backend Issues: I’m also having trouble accessing certain parts of the Joomla backend. Some sections either won’t load, or I’m greeted with various PHP errors, which makes it difficult to troubleshoot the issues from within the Joomla admin panel.
Troubleshooting: Here’s what I’ve done so far to try and resolve the issues:

Cleared the site and browser cache to see if it was a caching issue, but the problems persist.
Checked the file and folder permissions to ensure that there weren’t any issues caused by incorrect permissions during the update.
Reviewed the error logs to try and pinpoint the specific issues, but the logs are filled with different errors, making it hard to identify the root cause.
Attempted to restore a backup, but unfortunately, the backup seems to have issues as well, and I'm hesitant to make things worse by trying to force a restore.
Observations: Despite these efforts, my site remains partially broken, and I'm unsure of the best steps to take next. The problems are affecting the user experience on my site, and I need to get things back up and running as soon as possible.
