Can you upload a .zip file from Contents - Media? If you can do that, there should not be any issues in downloading the same file from the front end, as long as the URL is correct. Maximum Size (in MB): the allowed size to be within the settings in the php.ini file, i.e. post_max_size and upload_max_filesize
Allowed Extensions: zip (add ,zip to the end of the list)
Check MIME Types: yes or no, up to you but preferably yes
Legal Document Extensions (File Types): zip (add ,zip to the end)
Legal MIME Types: application/zip (add ,application/zip,application/x-zip,application/x-zip-compressed to the end)
