Also, I suggest that click on the link titled "Multilingual Status" that is in the site's back-end. The resultant pop-up would show any discrepancies in the multilingual site setup.
Check whether the Plugin "System - Language Filter" is enable and the module "Language Switcher" is published to the appropriate module position with the appropriate language.
