My site was not J4 it was J5. The site did not show an update because Next from J5 is J6 which does not exist. Yet the site emailed an update....
I understand from what pe7er wrote that if a website was using Joomla 4 and the update channel was set to next then one would receive an email notification about the availability of v 5.1.1. From what Webdongle wrote, however, this does not seem to have been the case. That's strange....
