Hello everyone,
I am new to my role at a youth club under the domain [www.karame.de](http://www.karame.de) and I need some help with my Joomla installation.
### Problem Description:
- **Joomla Version:** 4.3.3
- **Current PHP Version:** 7.4.33
- **Recommended PHP Version by Joomla:** 8.1 or later
### Issues Encountered:
1. **Unable to Save Changes:**
I am experiencing difficulty saving changes within the Joomla admin panel. Whenever I attempt to save any updates, the changes are not being applied. There is no error message, but it seems like the system is not responding to the save action.
2. **PHP Version Warning:**
I received a notification from Joomla stating that the PHP version in use (7.4.33) is obsolete and no longer receives security updates. This warning recommends upgrading the PHP version to 8.1 or later.
### Steps I've Taken:
- Tried logging out and logging back in to refresh the session.
- Cleared the browser cache to see if that resolved the save issue.
- Checked with my hosting provider, but I have not yet confirmed if they can upgrade the PHP version.
### Expected Outcome:
- I expected to save changes successfully in the Joomla admin panel.
- I also expected to be able to upgrade the PHP version to meet Joomla’s recommendations.
### Actual Outcome:
- Changes are not saved, and I still receive the same PHP version warning.
### Additional Information:
- I am new to Joomla and still learning the platform.
- My hosting environment is Strato.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to resolve these issues, particularly:
- Why I might be unable to save changes and what steps I can take to fix it.
- How to properly update the PHP version for my Joomla site.
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Ghaleb
