I am learning Joomla for the first time. Loaded version 5.2 to my local host. Plan to practice that way, therefore I am not using an off-site vendor host. Also loaded Xampp. Using http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ to access the databases. I am Running Apache, MySQL, and FileZilla. I am the Super User Administrator.
Seems that all the tutorials I found deal with earlier versions, conflicting with what I see on my localhost/name of site/administrator. Where can I find a tutorial for version 5.2 that narrates through the steps of learning like the tutorials of the earler versions? (I found one, but I do not understand the narrator's English very well, and the illustrations used are too small.)
Also, does the content that I build in this new experimental local host site populate into one of the six databases that are come with this version? (Information_schema, Joomla_db, MySQL, etc.) Or do I need to open a new database which is specific to the experimental site I am building with this new 5.2 version?
